Rafting – Half Day

Description:

This activity is done in the Pastaza River class III and 2 rapids class IV; the river is located in an ecological corridor between the Llanganates and Sangay National Parks. Rafting is a sports practice that we carry out according to international technical parameters and a specialized guidance service.

Itinerary:

We will meet at your hostel at 9 am, where we will provide the necessary equipment for your rafting tour. Once everyone is equipped, we will begin our tour in a private van to San Francisco, a village located in the parish of Rio Negro in the canton of Baños. Along the way, you can see different waterfalls (Agoyán, Manto de la Novia, El Pailón del Diablo), which are located along the route. When we get to the river, we'll give you a safety talk so you know what to do on the boat, for example, paddling orders and other tips for keeping the group safe on the river. Let's practice commandos on land first before entering the river. Then we will begin to descend the river surrounded by a beautiful landscape. After an hour and a half of rafting in class III+/IV rapids, the trip to Topo ends where the driver of the van will be waiting for us. Upon returning to Baños, we will have our well-deserved lunch.

What to bring:

USB or SD card to collect photos and videos after the tour 4GB, swimsuit, towel, tennis shoes/river sandals, sunglasses with a restraint strap, baseball cap, sunscreen and lip balm, insect repellent, water bottle (1 liter).
