

Tungurahua Hike and Bike
Description:
Tungurahua is an active volcano located in the Andean zone of Ecuador. The maximum summit is at 5016 meters above sea level. It is in the tenth place of the highest mountains in Ecuador. Tungurahua comes from the Kichwa word that means "throat of fire".
Itinerary:
The tour starts at 8:30 am in Baños. We travel with our private 4×4 transport for 20 minutes. Up to Pondoa (2650m). We will then start with a hike of approximately 3 to 4 hours from Pondoa to the Tungurahua refuge (3800m). When we arrive at the refuge, we will have our snacks and take a look at the wonderful surroundings. Then we will begin to descend, walking to Pondoa to then take our mountain bike to go down to Baños, where you will be around 6:30 p.m.
